Hello
I noticed today on my 94 2.3 that one hose is not connected (the pic shows the exhaust manifold). I looked because i smelled fuel in the cab could this be the reason? should they be connected? What does it do? sorry it's been a while since i've worked on cars. Thanks for your help

I can't say for sure that is the reason for smelling fuel, but that is part of the egr system. I think you would hear an exhaust leak. If it was hooked up before I would put it back together. I'm not sure exactaly, but that tube might run from the evaporative system that comes from the fuel tank. Your best bet would be to trace the lines and see where they go. Good luck.

I connected it today truck runs a lil smoother when cold. The tube goes up to the firewall into a metal canister an other tube from the egr valve goes into that canister as well:dntknw:
