I paid $2k cash for a red 1997 for ranger 4 cylinder 5 speed XLT. it drives good... but i noticed it must of been a northern car because underneath there is a lot of rust. and i took the bed liner out and there is a hole a little less than a foot long from the rust. idk why but it kinda bothers me......

im thinking about selling it for what i paid for... and spending about $500 more and get a EXT cab. this time ill be checking for rust and such....

are there any significant differences between owning a manual and a automatic?? are they expected to run just as long as the other? and of course taking care of them....

here is a picture of mine now:

If you are getting older and do a lot of sitting in traffic driving your left leg will certainly appreciate an automatic.

Is it really rusted so bad that you have to sell it? Or are you just getting tired of it and want a different vehicle?

It looks like he uses it for a work truck, a nice looking truck is good for business (especially something like signs)

An extended cab is nice to keep gear in as well, one of our service trucks has one and it is really nice for tools.

It is a nice looking truck, probably wouldn't be bad to move it if you want something else while it still looks nice.

That is a decent looking truck for 2K$. How does it run?

That truck outwardly looks good and you said it's dependable....I'd keep it as long as possible and save up some money....then if I still could justify an xtra cab...I'd get one
