Should I cover aux cooler on cold days?

I have about a 10 mile trip to work, one way.

It was 26 degrees this morning. I let my truck warm up for 10 minutes or so before I left for work (enough to defrost the windshield), then drove in.

I have the temp probe for my trans temp gauge in the spare port on the side of my 5R55E (behind the linkage, originally had a plug in it).

According to the gauge my transmission temp had barely hit 150 degrees as I was pulling into the lot at work. Is that normal?

I still have the factory cooler in the radiator, I replaced the original auxiliary cooler with an aftermarket one similar in size, so I don't have any huge cooler or anything.

So there's no such thing as too cold for the transmission fluid? This is pretty much the first vehicle I've owned with an auto so I don't know much about them.

It won't hurt anything. Even in summer the trans shouldn't be up to temp after a drive like that.

Idling in park doesn't do much to get the trans warm.
