Im voting for dont bob it, not because it wouldnt be awesome but because your truck reminds me of what my first Ranger always wanted to be, until she died:bawling:

If it was me I would leave it as it is, but it's not my truck, do what you want to it.

b-4 i post my answer do it do any dd or is it strictly trail. if it's a dd i would leave it if it a offroad rig only bobit

I say leave it, bobbing is popular with toyota guys because of the excessively long rear overhang.

Don't. You'll still have the same wheelbase, but you really won't be able to carry anything back there.

i say cut the rear of your frame off and go all tube with bedsides :)

I'd say "bob" it AHEAD of the rear axle :)

i think you shouldnt im not a fan of bobed bed if you want a bobbed bed just buy a b2 and cut the back off. just my.02

if you had a longbed I could see the point of bobbing it, but on a supercab I don't think its really worth the effort. its only a few inches to the shackles anyway the gain would be very minimal.

I'd say "bob" it AHEAD of the rear axle :)

.....And BAM!!! there it is..... thinking outside the box:headbang:....

If it were me and it was strictly a trail rig, I'd bob 6in or so in front of the axle plus do the rear. Go big or stay out of the garage.:icon_twisted::icon_welder:

P.S. Hell since the torch and welder are already out might has well dove tail it about 6in. (3 on each side) starting about mid wheel well. Damn my truck isn't safe now, I might do that someday.

To me wheelbase usually helps when wheeling, I can climb hills that shorter vehicles can't and my front tires are already clawing out of mudholes before the back ones are in which usually gets me out with barely any wheelspin. The only issue I have with wheelbase is getting around tree's......which would be fixed with 4 wheel steer.....

I'd spend time and money on that before bobbing the bed if it were up to me.
