So yesterday I joined this forum and made an introduction. I got less than 1/4 mile away from home, just about to turn onto the highway and a kid in a F150 turned into town on the wrong side of the road this morning, had the truck a week :-( ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413059324.826959.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1413059339.499828.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1413059352.708111.jpg
Just hope the loss adjuster is reasonable, it's an 84 with 195xxxkms, no rust and fresh paint.
That's life I guess, no one hurt.

That really sucks. Looks like a nice truck. Now you have an opportunity to get another one though... :p

After you settle with the adjuster try to buy it from them for scrap price.

Since they are not paying lot storage fees they should take that into consideration, you are saving them money by storing it at your house.

Buy another like this one and you now have a spare parts trunk for what breaks.

Oh man :(

Is the frame damaged? I think I would buy it back and put a new front eng on it and go from there.

I fear the day this happens to me. I might kill some one if they hit my truck.

I did say in my introduction that I'm not much of a truck guy, but I do like this little truck, reminds me of the many capris I've owned.
Sadly, in all honesty my main passion is my JDM Nissan and I don't have time for two projects. Not really sure where I will go from here.

Get the truck back as part of the insurance settlement, then post it for sale here on TRS.I'm pretty sure there are some other ranger enthusiast. Just a thought.

That's how things go when you drive a nice looking old vehicle. One hit like that and its totaled. I just took my 84 Bronco 2 over to the salvage yard this morning. They gave me $300 for it, they really didn't care what shape it was in...or so they claimed it was just going to scrap...yeah right, now with a good engine, transmission, axles, t-case, windows etc. They'll make $1000 easy on it at least maybe more.

That trip this morning was the longest, and hardest 35 mile drive :(. Just don't have the money to put into it anymore, it was time for it to go. My hours at work keep getting cut more and more all the time, I can't afford multiple vehicles especially one I can't drive. Some day maybe I'll have another but if I do I think it will be a Ranger again. The Bronco 2 just isn't what I need LOL.

where do you live? i see you marked mileage in KMS if anywhere near me, i have a complete parts truck with great shape front end. if your frame is good, do some swapping.

I'd tell them to fix the truck, don't accept them totalling it out. They insured the driver that caused the damage, you want the truck fixed. If they refuse, start talking about a lawyer. They usually cave at that point and have it fixed...
