shocks

reccommendations:

on my last 4 door ranger i bought bilsteins 5100's for the back
and they were STIFF i mean hit a hump on the freeway and bounce the back up

so on this ranger i bought some monroe sensitracs thinking them being a little cheaper shock would be softer but they jack rabbit just as much.

i like to offroad (i dont crawl i haul ass) anyone know a shock that wont kill on the small stuff or am i chasing the white rabbit?

i was considering pro comps or maybe just springing for the factory tuned foxes

you can adjust them on the fly, i've been pretty happy with my rs5000s but they are a we bit stiff

I was going to suggest Monroe's for the same reasoning you had. Rancho's are stiff, I've had a set on a suburban and it still felt like I was a bobblehead. I've toyed with the idea of an adjustable gas shock, since you can adjust the dampening.

The Monroes are junk. They have almost no low speed damping through the mid range of their travel. Rancho rs5000s area little stiff. I am running a set currently, and figured they would blow out when I bounced them around off road, but they have help up well so far. I have really come to like them. I am surprised the Bilsteins are so stiff. Dancron, I might try the rs9000s myself on the front when I go to F250 shocks. I can't help being skeptical about the adjustability, but they could still be worth a try.
