I need front shocks that will stand up to some major abuse and last a good long while. I've gone through three sets of shocks in the front in the past 30k, but only one in back. Completely stock replacement up till now, at least in terms of suspension. Just got in 1 inch longer coil springs cause the old ones felt worn, and will have spindles by the next set of tires.
I need suggestions on what to use and where to get it. Sees dirt, sand, and pavement, high speeds, large bumps at 15-25 (hey, sometimes they sneak up on you), towing, nascar speed turns (damn gf), etc. Will eventually be running above 31" tires.
I just spent about 2 hours looking through everywhere online I could think of. I'm willing to pay for quality, but I dont want to make an uninformed decision and pay a premium for ****.

spindle lifts do not require longer shocks.
Bilstiens last forever 5100.
I replaced my 5100's with over 120,000 miles and they were still as good as new. The only reason I replaced them was because I figured with that many miles they had to be worn. The set I have on now will never be replaced :D

I know the spindle doesnt require a longer shock but i dont know how much tire weight will affect shocks if at all.

The pics. might be misleading, the part number for the bilstein spec'ed for rangers comes with an eye loop on the bottom and a threaded top how does that work with the ranger mounting style?

eye loop shocks go on the rear of ranger.
the front does not have the eyeloop and when you order the right shocks you won't get the eyeloops on the front..

Guess I can trust pics. and looks like Bilstein it is.
I know the ones on the back have eye loops on both ends, and the front have a threaded post and a bar. Looks like I place my order over the phone not online so I get the correct part.

Is there a way to use eye loop shocks on the front? They make adapters to use eye loop instead of pin, but I don't know if they make the same for the bottom bar mount.

Well, you sort of already are. The bar mount passes through an eye in the end of the shock.

Yes... I know. Do they sell replacement bushings with the correct attachment for our trucks already pressed in? I found a good deal on a set of shocks pin top eyelet bottom without the correct bar/bushing already installed. So, I need an adapter to bolt it up or a stock replacement bushing to press in.
