Pic of front shock...ummm do ya think I need new ones? Rears look good (not leaking anyway) but gonna change them too. Truck is still stock but will be doing the front spring spacer and possibly the rear shackle drop in the rear. Do U think it would be OK if I get shocks that are a bit longer than stock now so when I put the small lift in I'll be good? Will slightly longer shocks hurt anything on a stock set up?? BTW, any sugestions on shocks?

a slightly longer shock, for now... is only going to limit the uptravel you have (which can't be much since it's stock springs). I don't see where you'd hurt anything.

Looking at Ranchos RS5139 for the rear and heres the choice for the front... either RS 5039 (collapsed length = 9 1/4". Extended L= 14 1/4") or RS 5136 (collapsed L= 11 1/4". Extended L=17 1/4"). The shorter ones are for between 0-1.5" of lift and the extended ones are for up to 2.5" of lift. I'm not sure of the length of the stock shocks. Gonna pull the trigger in a day or so. Help me decide fellas...go longer or stay shorter?

Couldn't wait so I just ordered the extended ones for the front...hope they will be OK. We'll see in a few weeks when they get here on get put on. Paid $51.00 a piece at JC Whitney.

they look a little long....lol

That's what she said... The rears are from 0-2 or 2.5" lift. The fronts are for up to a 2.5" lift. A bit long but work fine. Doing the washer and shackle lift next so I'll be ready with the right shocks anyway.

shocks won't limit your droop.. that's for sure!
