ok i have an 88 ranger stx with the high rider pkg. i called the local ford dealer to see if it took a different shock than the regular 4x4 trucks. his reply was no they are the same. so i went to the parts store and purchased a new set of front shocks and they were to short. fully extended they were about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch shorter than what was installed on the truck at ride height. anyone have a monroe or other part # for the stx shocks? right now i have a set off of a 88 F150 4x4 on it and they seem to be a little short in the down travel as they are almost maxed out at ride height.

Off the top of my head I know Rancho pt# 5136 would fit the STX Highrider (RS5000).

If no one has a shock specifically for the Highrider, you'll probably need to get out a shock applications book and search for a shock that has the same mounts top & bottom (stud + eye), and is 1.5-2.5" longer than stock.

go to napa's website, napaonline.com i think. I know u can get the shocks for the high rider on there
