shock help

so the situation is i have a home made/ rough country lift that is about 6 inches total. The ride height of my front shocks are 18.7 inches from the stud mount surface to the middle of the bolt hole. I need shocks SUPER bad and the ones i have on would not make a good replacement they are nearly out of extension while sitting level.

Ive been looking at a lot of sky jacker shocks and for example the H7055 http://skyjacker.com/product.php?ProdID=27266

stats are
Extended Length (in):22.750 in.
Collapsed Length (in):13.540 in.

so it would have more slack going out than in does that seem like a good fit? thanks guys

Those should be fine if your lift is 5-6". If you don't have upper coil retainers (J-clips), I highly advise you get some. The added shock length can potentially allow the coil to pop free (the little factory tabs are worthless).




ALso, I would recommend the Nitro gas shocks over the Hydros. They should give you far better control, and a smoother ride over rough surfaces for hardly any more cost.

I do have the full j clip thanks for the tip though. and im looking for someone of the nitro ones but I dont see any even close in price

this one would only allow about 3 inches of collapse space but would allow it to extend almost 10 inches! my only concern is would the 3 collapse inches be enough?
