Hello, I just purchased a project 1991 ranger 4x4 xtra cab with 4.0 and five speed. It has a skyjacker six inch lift in front and custom made 40 inch radius arms. The previous owner built shock hoops but they are not acceptable. I noticed in the tech section that some use the shock mounts from an f250. This seems to be the way I'm leaning. My question is: which shock would be best? I'm looking at the rancho or pro-comp adjustable. Is there a better brand in that price range? This truck will be a toy, it will see off road and on road use. Any help will be appreciated, Jody

forget everything else, spend the cash and get a set of bilstein 51XX's ( i.e. 5100, 5125, 5150)....I have the 14" travel 5150's, and they do wonders for the truck.

Plus 3. Bilstiens are wonderful. Twin tubes don't compare.

OK thank you for the advice. How about valving? Light? Medium?
