Anybody know how long it takes to get one of these? Ordered one the other day but didn't get any kind of order confirmation or shipping estimate or anything.

No but keep us posted on it. I am thinking about ordering one too.

I ordered and received one a few years ago, no problems.

Wow... didn't know it existed, can you manually shift into 4x without getting out of or under the truck? We NEED to know more..

You have to exit the vehicle and get under to use the Shiftster. There was plans to make it usable from inside by someone but I haven't heard more.
Also the shiftster is owned and operated by one man. It may take a little longer than big outfits to get your unit. I've never heard bad about them.

Yes ^^^

You remove the electric shift motor and install the Shiftster in it's place.
It is a short knob with spring loaded detentes to hold transfer case in proper setting.

To switch between 2HI, 4HI and 4Low you have to reach the knob and rotate it, so........
carry a piece of plastic to kneel or lay on, depending on how long your arms are

Just a heads up, apparently these are no longer available. After over a month of no response from the guy, I had my credit card cancel the payment. Darn. Seems like a great thing to keep in the truck just in case. Oh well.

I contacted Rick B about Shiftster and got this:

No Jim, just had some really bad-awful crap happen the last month, my CNC guy (who makes my mounting plates) dying on me suddenly being almost the least of my problems. But the next batch will be getting shipped out this Friday. Thanx for checking up on me and will be updating Shiftster status this week.....

I bought a Shiftster to have around just in case. You do indeed need to get under the truck to use it.
I would like to see someone make a unit to make it shiftable from inside the cab. The simple solution is a manual shift case swap, they are getting a little hard to find. I hate to trade off a known good case for a manual in unknown condition.

Well you could buy two of them, mount one inside and use a flexible actuator cable between the two.
The pull out and twist would be the same for the extra $60(2nd Shiftster) so no need to engineer your own inside control.

Ordered one from broncograveyard.com and the current status says "Backordered, No shipment Set".

Glad to know I am not the only one to suffer this horror story. Would have ordered it straight from the Shiftster site, but I have heard of massive complaints from customers being simply ignored.

UPDATE: checked my bank account and saw the charge, checked the Bronco Graveyard site for my shipping status and it's now been listed as "All Merchandise Shipped":yahoo:

Just ordered from the Shiftster website. Fingers crossed.
