Can someone help please ???

I need at least one of those nylon balls that is on the bottom end of an FM146 Manual transmission.

Here in Canada, the local ford dealer says Not available... (Personally I think it's just the dealer)

can someone look it up in the states please ?? also cost ??

I would be happy to not just pay for the part and shipping but also cover someones wage for an hour or so to do this for me.

the ranger is currently our ONLY vehicle, so taking it offline is bad news as we live in the country.

making a ball is simply NOT in the works as getting to town and such would require the use of the truck....

Remember it is 20 to 30 BELOW here, most days simply opening the garage to stick the truck in cost about 30 bucks in heat........

This has been kicked around several times. The ball is no longer available. And no one on the forum has run across any aftermarket replacement.

well, well, well.....
I was under the assumption that it was still available as I remember someone speaking about it last year in the forums, however, I can not find the message that it was in.....

Guess it's time someone to build them I guess... (me that is)

So what would be everyone's preference ? brass ?? that would be the easiest to do, I guess I could hunt down a bar of nylon and turn them out of that ????

Just get a Hurst Shift Conversion Kit !

Part Number or What ? remember even if I did, I would have to mod the new shifter for the 3" body lift I have.....

Ya, OK..... 300 bucks (Plus shipping), AND it's OUT of stock.....

AND, to top it all off.... (Read the install instructions PDF) it for the Toyo Gogo NOT the Mitsubusi FM146

OK, just looked into MAKING them..... anyone interested ?

No idea on price as yet, as that would depend on the quantity made, however I would like to shoot for somewhere around 20 bucks each..

Also get one from a junk yard. Or even try calling around the transmission rebuild shops to see if they have one laying around.

Making them out of a nylon bar would be the best I would think.

I wonder if a pool ball [maybe snooker] could be the right size? I made a shifter knob out of one once and it drilled and tapped easily.

Not the shift knob but the one that's internal, moves the rails?

Right Mac, It's about the size of a paddle board ball (the one with an elastic between them).

I think I've found a supplier that can make them in small lots (30-50 at a time) I'm going to check on this in the morning.

I think I have an entire fm146 shifter laying around if you want it
