Hi I'm new and have a problem. I have a 98 Ranger 2.3L Auto. The shifter shaft that run down the steering column has broken. It looks like I will have to remove the complete steering column to replace it. I talked to my local dealer and found out that the 2 pieces i need will be $80 dollars (dollars I don't have). Dealer said 95 thru 03 should fit. My question is do you think a part from a junkyard would work or am I risking it happening again. Also does anyone here have the pieces I am looking for? Maybe someone has a parts truck or unfortunate wreck and could help me out. Thanks .:icon_hornsup:

Never heard of anybody I know doing that before. I imagine that a used one will work fine Its your truck after all.

Thanks

Thanks d. I'm gonna order it and get myself back on the road.
