shifter fork and shifter ball worn

well the other day i was backin into my drive way and my trans got stuck in 2nd i found out that it was the ball attached to the shifter inside the trans that was worn so i went to advanced and they didnt have it and ford said they discontinued it is there anything i can do to fix this im pretty much stuck right now and i dont know what to do, i have a 84 bronco 2 5 speed

go to a junk yard and find one, or go to a tranny shop and see what they can find, 2 years ago i had a 84 ranger put in new tranny and the tranny shop orderd me a new shifter because the ball on the end was wore . good luck. try LMC TRUCK too.

yeah i figured thats what i would try but i want to know is the ball located on the shifter because i could take that to the transmission shop instead of haveing my truck towed there
