I just received a replacement transfer case shift motor and haven't a clue how to install it. Any tips on how to proceed to do it myself or should I just take it to the shop? I've read some of the threads on here and it seems like a fairly simply task.

Simple, if you can take a bolt off, youre good to go.Theres just four bolts holding it in place, three are around the "head· of the shift motor, the other one is the one olding the other end.Unplug it, take the bolts off, take te old motor out, and put the new one in just as you took apart the old one.Just make sure is aligned, the transfer case has te 2h 4h 4lo marked, so its not a big deal.Good luck.
