Done in by a jacked up Blazer making a hard left....from the right side of a two lane, one way street.

Creamed my right front panel, pushed the bumper sideways, broke the axle, 3'' Dream Beams, rotor and caliper, wheel, steering rods, and the antennae.

Despite 100% admitted his fault, his State Farm will only total it, and my Allstate will too.

I babied her through 304,000 trouble free miles, and now she will be sadly torn to pieces for parts. Suuuuuuuuuucks!!

Someday, I will return as a new Ranger owner :headbang:

oh yea, glad you're okay bro! hope the insurance goes as hassle free as possible for ya

maby they will sell it back to you cheap and you can rebuild her? im sure some local members will help you glue humpty dumpty back together again if you buy a case of beer

Yeah it ain't worth what it would take to fix it, so they'd total it just based on that.

maby not with new parts but with junkyard parts im sure it could be done on the cheap

That's awful. Very sorry to hear it but it sounds like a good run with all those miles.

At least it gets to live on mostly in someone elses ranger (s) if you part it out.

Glad you are ok. And trust me guy, you will return. Owning, driving, and customizing Ford Rangers is a sickness and addiction. :icon_thumby:

Yeah, but insurance won't do that, they're going to figure out what it costs for a body shop to do it...

my mom wrecked my dads nova back in the late 90's and the called it totaled and paid him for it and then he bought it back from them for 200 and we fixed it ourselves

Already tried that with Allstate. They say no, because the would be liable for an injury while driving a previously wrecked vehicle they knowingly sold. To salvage it, isn't worth it considering the amount of damage.

Even with used parts, it would still get to about $2500 before it was safe to get back on the road. I'm just gonna strip all the custom parts, and pull the stereo/amp/sub/speakers.

Sadly, I found a 91 Miata with less than 30k that the settlement will make a real good down on. Good gas mileage, new tires, new rag top, new seats, and Bose stereo.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah I know! But I live in California where convertibles rule and sportscars are almost mandatory.
