So i got in my truck this morning and when I started it the whole truck was just shaking when it was idling. It was still idling at about 1000 and holding there. Once i got moving it was alright even when I stopped later. Any ideas what that might be? I thought maybe a spark plug not firing but i just replaced them less that 10,000 miles ago. I havent had any time to look at it yet but any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

You intake might be looking coolant in to the piston causing a misfire and as soon as you burn up all the water or it goes out the exhaust it runs better.....

plausible. could also be a cold miss, and once the other cylinders get heating that one starts to fire off, could also be a broken balancer, but that would probably come back when it returned to idle. also, those don't break much.

Could the engine have gotten wet? A worn, wet sparkplug wire could misfire if its shot, then dry up with engine heat.

Could also be a sticky injector. Try running some bad-ass injector cleaner thru it such as 44K.

Also- what brand of plugs did you use? The wrong or crappy ones could be crapping out after 10K. I always use factory plugs to avoid problems.

it was just cold, my truck does the same thing
