I just put a one-piece driveshaft in yesterday and the truck drives great. There used to be a ton of vibration on take off, even after i replaced the carrier bearing. But it looks like it is too long. I think the telescoping part is totally compressed. Is this something i should be concerned about? Will this restrict upward movement of the axle or possibly damage the t-case? Maybe this is normal but it was a heck of a lot harder to get in place than the stock one. The shaft is out of 01 5spd ranger. The guy at the junk yard said the auto and 5spd are the same length. Has anybody else had this problem?
