Severe engine problems

After trying to diagnose some minor engine codes earlier (O2 sensor, coolant temp sensor) my truck now runs terribly and is un-drivable.

Accelerating from first gear is very laborious, the engine surges and I can hear the drivetrain clunking underneath as I lose power. Once the truck is moving it either does not want to accelerate at all or the accelerator acts "stuck" and wants to rev wide open when I grab the clutch. I have to tame it with the break and careful clutching, as it caught me off guard when this first happened tonight.

Before all this happened I was reading a 1-1-1 engine code, yet still had a check engine light for some reason. As I was disconnecting the wires after checking the engine codes, I accidentally let one of the wires from the EEC harness (bottom row, left) touch 12v for a split second. I fear what this could have done.

I should also note that this occurred after removing battery power in effort to clear the error codes, though I have no idea if its related to this or the shorting of that pin to 12v.
 
Check your fuses.

I hate to think you fried the PCM with the short.

Did you replace the CTS and O2?
 
New coolant temp sensor and O2 sensor.

What's a new PCM run for?

I can't even get the truck to tell me diagnostic codes anymore, it wont blink the check engine light it just comes on as soon as the truck is running.

It is also difficult to start. I have to crank it over a lot before it runs.

Remans on Rockauto seem to go from $115 on up.

I'm taking mine out ('93 2.3L manual) to put an LA3 in for the turbo swap. Engine and trans are already out of the car, so there's no reason to hold onto it. Shoot me a pm if you'd be interested.
 
Just found a solution!

I pulled out the computer the other day, to try to match it to a new one from the junkyard. Popped the 6 screws out to have a look inside and sure enough I find a broken trace on the bottom side of the board.

Repaired the trace with a bit of copper and some solder, popped it back in the truck and it starts and runs just like normal! Saved me a few bucks.
 
Did that clear your 224 code(coil 1,2,3,4 blah blah) error? How big of a job is it to replace the computer?
