Your list is full of weirdos! Against my better judgement I decided to look on craigslist for new seats for my truck. In 10 minutes of browsing I ended up finding a guy willing to "rent" his license plates to people, a guy wanting to follow people to the gas station so they could use his discount points "no strings attached", a guy trying to buy an inspection sticker for up to $400 bucks (inspection is free here), a guy selling "slightly used" engine oil, and a weirdo who wants to pay for someone with a jeep to drive him in the woods... All within 25 miles of me.

oh wait, and a guy offering a "vin decoding" service for $5 per vin number...

Wtf is wrong with society...

I wonder how many of these ads are jokes... I started googling "strange Craigslist ads" after seeing the crazy stuff around me....

The best so far is a tie between a guy who wants a woman to come to his house and bathe in his tub full of pasta, he wont be home but will leave his keys, and afterwards will eat the pasta... And a guy looking for another man to come over for "mutual touching" and then have the guy stomp around like a giant and smash his 4 year old sons model train set.

Man, a major Honda dealer near me just got busted by the AG's office for selling supplemental warranties on leases that had the same age and mileage limits as the factory warranty and a clause that said they didn't cover anything covered by the factory warranty. $1000 a pop for basically nothing.

I've gone back to CL. Facebook marketplace is a waste of time, I bet at least 80% of responses I got to ads were "is this available?" and then nothing more. Another 10% on top of that flake out and don't show up. 90% failure rate is awful, Facebook would work a lot better if it had a way to weed out the shitheads that waste everyone's time.

There are some weirdos on CL for sure but it was never as bad as Facebook is now.

Id rather take whatever item I want to sell to work, crush it with a bucket loader, then throw it in the dumpster just so I don't have to deal with the stupidity on CL or FB Market.
Plus I get to crush something with a loader... That's always fun!!

Back when I was on FB I used to buy and sell and 95% of the time I had great experiences. It all depends on the area you're in. The same can be said for Craiglist for the most part.

I wish more people would start using Craiglist more often, now that I refuse to take part in FB's severe invasion of privacy.
