In my 86 bll is a stock 2.9. Once it warms up and sits in beep and creep traffic it stumbles like it is starved for fuel and shuts down in 1-2 minutes,to restart 45 minutes later.Hers what ive replaced: both catalytic converters, both fuel pumps and filters, cold air intake temp sensor, tps, plugs, wires, coil, complete distributor, and i have remote located the tfi module onto the firewall with a ford van heatsink. What am i missing????I love my truck but come on already.

have you tried the fuel pressure regulator? It may be a good idea to test it before going out and buying one though.

edit: also moving this to the proper forum..

couldn't hurt to have the TFI,(aka ignition module) checked/tested, maybe you have already...IDK

have you checked the map sensor, bad vacuum line somewhere?? and the all important grounds and connections

I'm thinking the ignition module also.. Specially when it won't restart for 45 minutes...or until the module cools down some..
