I have a fellow comrade that has a 98 standard cab ranger with a 3.0 with a standard tranny. He rolled his truck on the which drained all fluids, yet started up after pulling back over and he drove it home 15 miles. He let the truck sit for about 2 months before trying to start it. It is catching but not turning over. We tried pull starting it and the tires would just slide. He obviously filled the fluids before trying all this, but she just won't break loose, guessing the motor is locked! Any help would be much apprecitated!

if the rings are stuck you can try brake fluid in the cylinders, this eats the carbon out of them. if it is friction (seizure/rust) you can try atf in the cylinders. pour it in the spark plug holes (easier said than done i kno but can be done) and let it set for two days. take a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar and try turning the bolt for the harmonic balancer over by hand. if you can turn the engine over it is freed up, drain the oil (the atf or brake fluid will seep thru the pistons and drain into the oil pan) and pump out as much of the fluid as you can with the starter, no plugs installed. then go back with new oil/filter, install plugs and turn her over and see how she does. either way its not going to be pretty when she fires up im afraid and the life of the engine is drastically reduced if she actually seized up.

kerosene works awesome about a table spoon in each cylinder will free it up guaranteed just let it sit for about an hour and crank it over. i use it alot on my quads and such when they sit all winter in a warm garage.

When pull starting DO NOT use low gear!! Pull it off in 4 or 5 gear and the advantage will be the driveshaft! When trying to start it in low the advantage is the engine not the tires.. Should be really hard to get the engine to turn over.. in 1, 2 OR EVEN 3RD GEAR.
