I just finished my ranger and now its time for the odds and ins. My temp gauge isnt working, But I know I do not have the sensor on the rear of the head (Driver side) plugged in (Cant find the connector). But what is that sensor?

#2... The speedo doesnt work, Seems there is a speed sensor on the diff, and trans, Anyone know which one gives signal to the cluster?

Truck is a 1999 ranger 2.5L 5 speed

Thanks in advance....

The sensor on the rear of the head is oil pressure. The coolant temp sensor is just below it in the block. The wire for it is in the harness that feeds the coil pack on the driver side. Or at least it should be for a 2.5.... you didn't specify engine.... hope this helps.

The oil pressure reads fine, There is a sensor on the oil pump housing that is plugged in and to me that seems to be the oil pressure sensor. I'll get down a look today while its day light.
