Hi Guys just finished doing a 4.0L from a 92 Ranger swap into my 87 Bronco II and noticed that the fuel gauge from the ranger is not so compatible with the Bronco II sending unit. I did some research and it seems that the sending unit in 1988 & after Bronco II's changed the oms that it sends to the gauge, does anyone know if 1988 & after Bronco II's sending units are compatible with the 1992 4.0L Ranger fuel gauge?

The reason I ask as I have found a pinhole leak in the sending unit stem and it needs to be replaced, so if I can get a sending unit that is compatible, and not have to cut into the wiring to do so it would be great

Thanks Ron for the info will do, also just to make sure the sizing for the lines/ fittings is the same as well on 89-90 for the sending unit ?

I would like to find a way to make an '88 sender work with my '92 guage as well. I put a rear tank from a dual tank ranger in mine, can't just put a different year in there, going to have to do some modifications.
