Sell or drive

Hi!! I have a 1991 4 cylinder Ranger that only has 16,000 original miles. Everything on this truck is original except the front brakes and the battery. Just wondering if this truck is worth trying to sell or if I should just drive it around and enjoy it. Any thoughts???

Any pics? IMO, its not a collectable, but someone might pay more than normal for it if its in great shape. Post it for sale and drive it anyway.

Low miles in a Ranger is good to find as a driver, but with that low of miles it will most likely need lots of work as all the seals are dried out.

So drive it

You can test the waters locally by putting it on craigslist or truck trader with lots of pictures and stress the low miles, see what kind of offers you get

I drive a '91 Ranger. I have put 10 years and a lot of work into making it look good. I get lots of compliments. Two people have tried to buy it, but it's not for sale. I suggest you keep yours and enjoy fixing it up.

Drive it and enjoy it. If you sold it, because of its low mileage and probable condition, you might get twice what a similar Ranger with high mileage and usual ware, but...
then what would you do? Go out and buy something else, of course.
At least you know where this one has been, and it's history.
If it's in really super condition then take it to cruise-ins and shows. You'd be surprised at how many people appreciate an older truck that still looks really good.
When I run my low mileage Ranger to a cruise-in or local show, I always get 1-3 requests to sell it because of it's condition. Like OldMan2, I keep it up and maintained, and drive it and enjoy it.

This was my uncles truck. It’s been in his garage pretty much since he got it it ‘91. I’ve been driving it this summer. Haven’t seemed to have any problems. I’ll keep driving it. It is a nice little truck.

It was in a garage. We’d run it a little in the summers but that was about it. According to my uncle, even the tires are original. (I had them looked at by a guy at the local tire shop and he said they don’t show any cracking so go ahead and drive with them)
