How do i tell if my brakes are self adjusting or not? do i just have to Dissasymble the brakes to find out or is there an easy way?

They are.

It does require effort on your part to keep them adjusted.

Use the parking brake frequently, and back up periodically and apply the brakes firmly 5 or 6 times in a row. It should make your brake pedal firmer. The more you do that, the tighter they'll get, then they are good. I brake hard enough that a front tire skids.

If that doesn't make your pedal engage higher and feel better balanced (fronts feel less grabby), then your adjusters probably got stuck. Spray lube the starwheel threads and adjust them out by rotating the star as it clicks against the lever catch. If you have to pry the lever catch away to turn the star, you are going the wrong direction. Occasionally try to install the drum. It should slip on with some force and make a light scratching sound when you rotate the wheel. If you can't rotate it, it's too tight.

The fronts are self-adjusting from piston seal pressure.
