98 Ford Ranger is "selectively" starting. It turns over just wont fire. Checked all the spark plugs, wires, fuses, battery connections. What else? I looked over all the wires that I could see and nothing is blatantly obvious. I think because it starts right up on some days then wont start for days it must be a loose wire or something. Any suggestions? thanks

A fuel pump can do that, if it just has one or two bad spots in the brushes. Next time it acts up get out, pound on the tank a couple times, and try it again.
