seats

For the Ford Escape seats I swapped into my Ranger I separated the tracks by grinding off the stops and tabs and sliding the two rails apart. Then put the rail-half with the Ranger feet onto the rail-half still bolted to the Escape seat.

For that swap, the Escape tracks were positioned wider on the seat than the Ranger's so I had to add a little bit more foot onto the outside feet to make them work. But if your rails are the same distance apart it should be a straight swap.
Did you do a thread or write up on the Escape seats?

I'm curious/interested.

Yep.

It seemed more complicated up front, but once I started working on it it was actually very straightforward.

When swapping out the seats, how do you get around the Seat Position Sensor? I've had my 2007 Ranger since 2017 and I just now realized that the seats are not the originals. I've had this part dangling unuder the drivers seat since I bought it but never knew what it was.

I pulled the seats to do an audio system and was able to get the part number off it and checked to see what it was. It's the Seat Position Sensor which tells the airbag system not to deploy if the drivers seat is too close. I've never had a CEL for it so I never knew there was a problem. I've been teaching my daughter how to drive and she pulls the seat up so she can reach the pedals. I don't know what the system defaults to if it doesn't see this sensor so I'm afraid to let her drive it now! So what do you do when swapping out the seats?
