Seats looks funky need help

Just got a 1998 ford explorer Eddie Bauer and the interior is in excellent shape except one seat is just really bad look and can’t figure out what could’ve happened to it and if there’s a way to save it without having to get a whole new seat, maybe just replacement cover? Any ideas?

I'm thinking there was some kind of chemical spilled on it the ate the foam and vinyl and shrank it.

from the excessive wear on the back I was thinking dog's favorite spot for a second and then said nah that is damage from a baby car seat.... which makes me ask, does it smell? As far as how to fix, around here the driver's seats are always trashed (they see the most wear), and that looks like a back seat. A junkyard donor (there's plenty of em here) would be my first move, just replace the whole thing.... the price around here would be the cheapest too.
