Hey guys i made a sub box behind the seat but it forces me to move the seats forward. i have a 97 regular cab, 60/40 im wondering if the passenger seat would bolt right up to the driver side? if it does id like to get another one have a decent size gap between them and build a box there any thoughts? has anyone done this before? :icon_welder:

Yup, it should fit (probably have to use your old seat tracks) but your recline levers and stuff will all be on the wrong side. I'm assuming you have a split bench? Find yourself a decent set of buckets and have an upgrade on top of the extra room for the sub. I've got turbocoupe buckets in my ranger, theyre pretty awesome.

thanks guys yeas its a bench 60/40 with the armrest on it there isnt many rangers at local junk yards (i guess its a good thing) what other seats fit in? as in simple seats not 60/40 newer rangers? any help is appreciated :)

Its been covered on the forums quite a bit, a search should yield some results. Most swaps require retaining your original seat tracks, but they bolt to the new seat just fine. Foxbody mustang and Tbird should work, 90 and older escorts, other rangers and explorers (look for Eddie Bauer) are the ones I know off the top of my head. 89 and newer Tbird are way different, 91 and newer escorts are way different.

If you can't find anything in the yards or just want a cheaper option the "60" can be turned into a "40". Then all you need is some sewing skills.
