I got some very nice leather seats that I hope to put in my 2003 Ranger regular cab. I will probably weld those seats to the old Ranger seat frames. Not too hard.

All except this particular Ranger came with some sort of special sensor built into the passenger seat that sends a signal to a switch which disables the airbag if the seat is empty or if a small child is sitting in the front seat.

Since the new seat will not have that sensor, I will need to disable the switch, modify it, or bypass it in such a way as to keep the airbag engaged and ready to fire at any time. My question is how do I do that? Do I have to cut a wire? Which one? Where?

As usual, I'm clueless!

I think that sensor is an open/closed type so if you unplug it and put a jumper wire, the light should turn off showig its active and ready for use
