After a couple long trips I swapped out the butt busting stock seats with some nice all power leather ones from an Explorer. But the passenger seat does not have the weight sensing pad to enable/disable the passenger airbag system. Is there a way to install a manual switch for this function? Or is there a nice seat swap option that includes this? Maybe a later model Explorer?

The earlier rangers used a key switch to enable or disable the passengers side airbag instead of the weight sensor. Im not 100% certain but I would think you could swap in that switch to bypass the weight sensor switch. I believe they were used in 1998-2003.

I am happy to find your distinguished way of writing the post. Now you make it easy for me to understand and implement the concept. Thank you for the post. check me on periodic table
