seat question

I tried searching and couldn't find any thing. Here is my question in a truck with the 60/40 bench could you take out the 60 part and replace it with the 40 part out of a different truck? and have 2 buckets?

Wouldn't you have two left seats? I'm not sure how you'd change the seatbelts over.

yea u would have two left seats.. but yes u could take your seats out and replace them w bucket seats and put a center console in, when i find my memory card ill post pics of what it looks like finished.. i put two memory foam bucket seats in my truck.. about to do another swap in my 98 ranger to memory foam bucket seats.. ill make pics of it and post if i cant find the my memory card on that truck.

I think he meant just replacing the 60 seat with the drivers seat out of something else.

i have two left seats bahahahahahahahaha, they work fine, i did some shenanigans and they are great i swapped a passengar seat from a 94 explorer with my drivers seat in my 93 xcab. all you do is swap the sliding rails, 4 bolts on on each corner. i put a center console from walmart, that i love, so instead of using my drivers side seat belt clip, i used the cloth seat belt clip from the middle seat, so i could have more room inbetween the seats for the center console. because you cant swap the recilner mechanisms they welded on to the seat, and i dont have a welder or i would done it.

hey nice upgrades to your ranger, ill have to look for a passenger seat from a escort or explorer or maybe another ranger. The center console looks good but will it fit with a manual trans or will the stick be in the way? Ill check my wal mart next time im in there. How did you attach the console? thanks for some great info

2. what year is your ranger? mine is a 93 excab. i think i can use any explorer uptill 01? idk. you wont be able to use the the seat tracks, if i remeber the explorer tracks arent even... height wise, its hard to explain, just make sure you can take those tracks off and use the tracks from your 60.

3. the console i have is called a "clutter catcher" its from walmart a few other guys have em on here, i love it , its veryyyy cheaply made though. its straight up plastic, but i cant find a good explorer console in my jy, its in memphis tn soo not the greatest place to find cars well taken care off.... but as car as i can tell it shouldnt effect the shifter? i have the stock console under the dash and it doesnt effect it at all , and if i remeber correctly the console is in the same spot the shitfter would be so it should fit, and the console is just literally screwed to the floor, it came with some cheap wood screws to do it, i said to hell with that, found some good *long* self tappers and went through my floor pan, they come out on top of the transmission on mine it doesnt effect anything.
