Will the 60/40 split bench with folding armrest from a 88 Extended cab bolt directly in place of a 87 Ranger Regular Cab with the same 60/40 split bench with folding armrest?

You have to swap the seat tracks. That is the extent of the needed modifications.

Alright. I dont know if ill go thru the hassle or not, but thanks

It's not a hassle at all. It's four bolts per seat. I've done it about a dozen times, its much more trouble actually taking the seats out of the vehicle than it is to swap the tracks.

Hmm...ive never had to swap one. Im just curious cause i went to the local yank yer part yesterday to get a radio for rusty 2.0. The ranger i pulled it out of had a pristine matching seat to mine (mines not horrible, but its tore where you get in and out and faded real bad), ol boy at the junkyard told me 50 bucks if i pull it, didnt think that was bad.

As much as i dont care what the body really looks like, im kinda OCD about my interiors

Yeah, that's not too bad. It's about what I pay around here. For a good set of buckets and a console I usually pay about $100.

How rare are factory (i assume) leather buckets in a 2nd gen? That was sitting right next to the 1st gen i was pulling off of

True buckets were more common in Explorers and regular cab Rangers. Supercab Rangers seemed to commonly get the 60/40 bench.

I have never seen leather in 1st or 2nd gen Ranger. Vinyl was the standard in the early ones. It was nice and easy for cleaning, but I always hated sitting on it.

I absolutely love my 1st gen Explorer seats.

As far as I know, leather was only ever offered in the Explorer. Was it an option in any Ranger?

I have never seen leather in a Ranger, but between 93 and 2004 I have almost no knowledge of interior options. Those trucks have very little that I can use, and so I often pass them over in the junk yards and I never really spent any time working on them at the dealer.

From what little I have seen it seems like a tweed-like material replaced the vinyl seat covers around 93.

This is a club cab 2nd gen, i dont know, maybe they were swapped? Ill check it out next time im out there.

Probably swapped. Grab some photos if you don't mind.

Not a problem, might be another week or so before i get back out there though.
