I found nice ‘01 Explorer seats and could use clarification on what’s in the tech article:

“Explorer seat tracks only work on extended cab Rangers. Explorer seats need the 60/40 or bucket seat tracks from a regular cab Ranger to work.

2002 and newer Ford Explorer seats are wider, and will not bolts up to the Ranger tracks.“

Does this mean 2001 Explorer seats will bolt up to my 2000 Ranger Reg cab seat tracks/sliders?

Thanks for your input!

It takes some work. Need to remove tracks from ranger seats, drill rivets out, some have a blind bolt that is difficult. Remove tracks from expo seats as well, next apply ranger tracks to expo seats. Seat belts are another issue to sort out. You will also loose leg room which why I haven't done drivers side, I'm 6'2"

What year(s) Ranger seats can I swap into my 2000 Ranger. The tech article doesn’t say anything about it.

@masanders any year ranger seats will fit. But the tracks are what's different. Depending on bench vs buckets and single cab or extended cab.
