Seat confusion into newer Ranger

I recently picked up a 2006 Reg Cab bare-bones ranger. Plastic 60/40 seats which I dislike, but the price of the truck was something I couldn't turn down.

I have a local pick-n-pull yard with many potential options, but I'm confused as to what older seats may fairly painlessly swap into a 06 Reg Cab configuration.

I see the yard several 99 and 2000 Explorers, not sure if they are 2 or 4 doors yet. Has several 99 Escorts as well.

Most people are asking what newer seats will bolt into their older Ranger, but I guess I'm wondering the opposite. What older seats will go into a 2006 Reg Cab?

explorer, mustang, tempo, escort or ranger 93 or newer. just look at the mounts, its a very unique way of mounting thats easy to check.

Thanks for the info.

When I go to the yard to start peeking at the mounting types, will it be obvious as to whether a 4door Explorer seats will fit in my Reg Cab 06 Ranger?

Or will I have to stick finding a 2 door Explorer?

You might check to make sure you won't need tracks too, in some later years of the Ranger they are made part of the seat itself. (somebody was having problems with an '04 awhile back)

I had Explorer seats in my std cab and they hit the back window pretty hard but I THINK they made the standard cabs longer sometime down the line.

I just went to the yard to have a look around at lunch.

The Explorer and Escort seats all looked pretty rough.
Only thing that looked like nice decent seats was a 99 ZX2 and 01 Focus.

I'll be pulling my seats out later this week to do some interior work (adding deadmat to floor, doors, back wall), so I'll have a better look at them then.
