I know my Dad's ol' favorite, Sears, isn't what what it used to be but I have still bought tools there, well, maybe no more. Their just down the street from me so it's very convenient to drop in to the tool section when I something.
Recently I bought a deluxe combination wrench set from them which work fine, that is until you wrench using the box end at which time they disappointedly strip. but were talking strobe lights here.
Over the last few days I needed a strobe light so I bought their base model Inductive strobe. Got it home, used it once, something inside it popped and it quit working. Still needed to finish timing the engine so I brought it right back and turned the fake chrome plastic one in for their next level up up Advance model. Hooked it up, pressed the button, strobe is flashing, get into position to flash the damper, what? again?! The button sticks, doesn't release and it will no longer strobe, Geezus!
I used to think timing lights were pretty basic instruments so even a Harbor Freight special would do but certainly a more expensive name brand Sears Craftsman would be better, right?
Anyhow, are you guys avoiding Sears tools nowadays? Which timing light are you guys using? Napa? Snap On?
