ive gone through 2 and a half cans in the gas tank and half a can in the oil .... she still spits and sputters sometimes...mostly when she gets warm.... this vaccum deal which hose do i use and how much SHOULD i use?
Hope this helps.Well, it 'could' be the seafoam smoking. Although, when you are applying it to the vacuum system (VERY SLOWLY, not just pour it in) the engine is burning said 'scam' and it does not smoke to high heaven. Only once the engine is stalled out and has a chance to sit and then be re-started does it smoke for 10-15 minutes. Now I doubt that there is still a load of seafoam in the intake and cylinders after 10 minutes of high rpm running to create the amount of smoke that is out the tailpipe.
You best bet would be to use Google and do some research for yourself. A fair number of us on here have used Seafoam and are pleased with it. If you don't believe us then spend some time and do your own research.
Just my $.02.
This whole Seafoam thing sounds too good to be true to me; do we actually know that all the smoke which is causes is actually carbon and other deposits burning off? I mean, it would seem to me that it could very easily just be the Seafoam itself burning and giving the appearance of cleaning out the engine. I'm skeptical and don't want to be just another sucker for a scam product. Not saying it is a scam, but is there any real solid evidence out there that the smoke is actually deposits burning and not simply the seafoam (which could easily be formulated to burn with a ton of smoke)
