seafoam does it work?

Yep, but that can happen with other engine cleaners/flushes, too, not just seafoam. Just don't put in the crankcase...just treat the fuel in the tank and the top end of the engine by putting it in the top end like the label says. Cleaning the top end of the engine will help with the emissions.

ive been using off road kerosene for this for a long time not in the gas tank but in a vacuum line or in the oil right before a change. when i got my subaru it was so gunked up even the dipstick was covered in a molasses like substance which i had assumed to be oil.. i normally take about two soda cans full and pour it in the crankcase. run the engine while reving it up just a little to get everything loose. for 5-7 minutes just enough to warm everything up and then shut it off and drain the oil and i have had chunks of sh*t come out. then flush the engine with kero untill it comes out clean just by pouring in. then let it drain for a while and fill back up with new oil and filter. i normally only do this when i first get somthing and i change the oil again about 250 miles later because it turns black awfully fast

with the subaru it made a world of difference. more power, smoother idle and it was quieter. i do not do this with customers vehicles unless they ask me to. just my own cars, trucks,

neither me or the ranger station are responsible if you harm your engine in any way doing this.

anyone see a problem having seafoam in the gas tank when i go to smog my truck? i'm gonna go pick some up today and wont go through a tank of gas before i go smog the truck

Make sure it's not high-octane, that will affect your smog reading...sea foam or not. Did you sea foam the top end, too?

Don't do it! It will run dirty while the SF is in the tank.
