Today after school i went to my buddies house and i used a little less than half a can and poured the rest in the gas tank. I poured the sea foam thru the brake booster house and after i poured it in i turned off the truck then about 10 to 15 minutes later i started my truck again and too my surprise their was a lot of smoke in the beginning 5 minutes but after that it wasn't much. I took my truck for a spin and went back to drop off my friend. When i got back to my house i noticed a much smoother idle. Then i went on a back road that was paved and attempted a brake stand and... their was smoke everywhere! Before i could barely get my ranger to spin on take off but now i am getting better acceleration and low end power. Would i recommend this product to anyone... YES!!! I think i am going to run the sea foam after next oil change just to make sure i get all of the carbon build up and hopefully get better gas milage.
Thanks, Abel

a 2002 4.0l shouldnt have much carbon buildup... if any? my 99 has 195k on it and i dont have any problems, still runs like new. keep the oil and filters changed, and use some fuel system cleaner every oil change or so and thats about it.

the year really doesnt have to do with anything.milage yes, year no..you can have a 07 with alot of carbon buildup just from what kinda gas your getin.

youre totally right i didnt mean to imply the year is why he shouldnt have problems.... maintenance is the real thing.

if you think about it though, gas in the 2000's is better with more additives then the stuff we bought back in the 90's and before. especially the late 2000's, ive noticed that adding fuel system cleaners dont really help as much as they used to.

this may be true but di you notice that gas doesn't last as long when sitting i use to be able to have gas in my tank of my snow-blower for a year or two and still good but now after six months its bad

honestly, i have noticed. i thought it was just me though. i normally fill up one 5gal tank of gas for my mower in the spring, and it lasts all summer. but by now, after 5+ months, the mower is starting to spit and sputter occasionally. it did this last year too, and if i just buy new gas the mower runs great. also, if i leave gas in my weed eater over the winter the gas wont even be good enough to start it with. it never used to do these things even 5 years ago.......

i agree, i seafoamed a few months back and my 4.0 runs MUCH better, accelerates better and idles real smooth. when i worked at jiffy lube we charged $60 for the same exact service, i can get a can of seafoam at work (autozone) for less than $8 to do the same thing

Seafoam is great stuff. I have learned though that most of the issues with todays gas is the regular and mid grade. They add the ethanol to it, which hurts mileage and quality of fuel I run premium in evrything I own, and get better gas mileage and a cleaner system because of it.

Also, add a little seafoam to the snow blower and it'll help maintain the fuel for storage, at least this is my experience...

ANything alcohol based will help dry out your fuel and maintain combustability. AND there are positive and negative thinkers about everything including seafoam, BUt I will swear by it.

Need to try the sea-foam myself. As for fuel storage I use STA-BIL Marine Formula in all of my gas cans, snowmobiles, generator, lawnmower, Rabbit (summer car), and any other fuel that will be sitting for some time.

i just seafoamed my sploder again today, i swear it drives even better now
