Hey, ive had this SCX 10 for about 9 months now, and love the thing, but tis starting to show its age. Im going to do a ground up rebuild on it, and get it running right again. I use it for hill climbs and most of my offroad non truck fun.

Its locked front and rear, with a 55 turn motor, xl-5 waterproof esc and waterproof servo with servo saver. godd run a hightech servo in it, keep the motor as its brand new and might keep the ESC. going to run slash driveshafts, and extended shocks. right now im using the stockers.

will be putting a waterproof 2.4 radio in it aswell.

and im now running superswamper tires on it. im keeping them, but will reset them up. the rims im keeping also.

Ill be replacing all bearings with waterproof ones, giving it a full cleaning and replacing/rebuilding anything that appears to need work. i hope to put a ranger body on it too.

That is cool. Maybe once I get a new job I'll get something to play with.

Actually I've got my Ranger to play with first, then maybe an RC truck later.

Ok so started a clean up, Going to begin pulling it apart tomorrow night or sunday.

I will be buying the following first:

all new bearings
radio box
long travel shocks with super soft springs
new reciever for 72 Mhz
New truck body - Ranger FTW :headbang:
Metal upgraded driveshafts
Crawler ESC
55T Venom Motor - Bought
Hightorque steering servo - Bought

To do:
custom mount steering servo
lower battery tray to frame
Mount new radio box in back
mount ESC in front of frame
Reverse Trans to push motor to the front of the chassis
Shave servo mounts off axle
loctite set screws to hold them in place
Re-Build superswampers to clean and properly seal them
Run LED lights in bumpers
Check hightech servo to make sure it works properly

im sure there will be more, but thats it for now.

will make a run to the hobby store soon hopefuly. i really want to get one of those Axial Wraiths, and use it as a crawler, but its got a rear mounted battery, and i dont think axial was really thinking when they designed it. seems like it would be a very light front end.

The Wraith battery can easily be put up front.

I need to start working on my SCX10 Unimog again...

The Honcho is more of a Tacoma body...

Driveshaft set screws? I went with MIP driveshafts and crank them down.
