The bumper I got is a little bit scuffed up(on the bottom half only). It looks like someone took something pretty coarse to it, maybe a scotch pad or something.
I'd like to get rid of the scuffs if I could. I figure I'll buy some real good chrome polish and polish the hell out of it and see if that works. That's my idea. Do you guys have any?

Thanks.

What is that and where could I get it? I saw some scratch and swirl remover, but it didn't say anything about working on chrome, only paint. I got some turtle wax chrome cleaner/polish I guess I'm gonna try out.

depending on the severity of those scratches you might think about replating it... they'd also fix any bumps and what-not in it... making it better than new.

here's a place I've been courting for my chroming needs.

http://www.nu-chrome.com/

you can check out pauls chrome as well... try googling it, I don't have the webpage address... his page is a bit dated.

I got one of those as-seen on tv chrome polishes that was on display at the cash in the parts store.

Its actually the best chrome polish I have ever used.

I was interested in this as well, I have no chrome on any of my three cars, but it is good to know about.
Did a Google search and came up with ALOT of information. Some of the basics were:

Clean
Use a FINE steel wool to prep the scratched area - will leave fine scratches
Apply sparingly a quality chrome polish such as Sonus or P21S - do a small hidden area first and see how it does
The final step is the most important - seal it so any buffing that got close to lower layers may begin to rust - but a quality wax such as Meguiars should be more than adequate.

Do some google searches for those products and other advice - when you do yours write up a how to and let the rest of us know how it came out.

Good Luck
