Screwed up

brakes are the one time i absolutely refuse to say "good enough" on my vehicles

Alright so heres the deal. My engine is running great now, turns out I had mud smothered on my MAF, so I just cleaned that out, changed the oil twice with a new filter, and new radiator fluid. Shes running and sounding good. But the rear end is still locked up, my uncle said it sounds like I spun a bearing in my rear end from running my truck hard through the mud. Which would make since taking into account that its a twenty+ year old truck and stock rear end. So as for now I must save to take it to a shop later. Thanks for all the input everyone.

bearings in the rear are all roller/ball bearings, not exactly sure how you spin one of those...

also not sure how your maf caused your spare tire to catch fire

To answer one of those, the maf got muddy so it was causing the engine to rev in an erratic nature, which caused it to work double time running more gas through it than it should; while having a wet cat from a busted exhaust system (also sucking water from the air box down through the headers) causing it to fail at the time as well as possibly now, the muffler had been right infront of the tire spewing bits of gas as well as sparks from the failed cat not catching them it ended up setting the rubber on fire.

But in other words for the rear end it may have been an expression that he could have used for saying seized it up, blew it out, I'm not sure exactly.
