For every door that closes another one opens for you to lead others always when you least expect it!
Saw this on the internet this AM......Scout Motors
I pray it's not some electric form of disposable chinizium. Just another reconisible trade name that got sold off to some company that has nothing to do with the original "lifestyle". My '62 would put this chunk of garbage back where it came from I'm sure.

I saw it awhile ago...

Their website states that it will be "made in the USA" however from substandard parts made in china. They brag about all the jobs that will be hinged on a market that is the most popular in failing. Electric cars. How long will it take to re-charge your Scout with your personal solar cell where it's advertised to operate? Or you could bring your GAS powered generator....

Navistar was purchased by Volkswagen a year or two ago, I'd assume they also got the rights to the Scout branding and such in that deal.

somewhere here there was a link to the launch livestream a few hours before it happened, the video is still available on the mootube:

Long and short, VW is opening a plant in Indiana. But like every single other car out there I bet parts are made all over the world. If I was even half ass interested in a new car I would be excited, problem is I can't stomach what every mfg wants for new cars now.

As far as retro vehicles go... they ain't half bad for looks.

Too bad they didn't do it like 20 years ago with TDI...

first comment 3 family members all said at thanksgiving was they look kinda like the rivians
