SCOTUS strikes down DC gun ban!

In the first diffinitive ruling on the 2nd ammendment EVER
SCOTUS has affirmed the 2nd ammendment to the US constitution
as an INDIVIDUAL right, not a right of some nebulous "militia"
(or the ludricris "national guard", Why on earth would the
framers of the constitution feel that the "right" of the
States governments to have armed forces?)

the DC gun ban is GONE.

The Chicago handgun ban is similarly GONE
(this will be fought, but it's settled law)

Most of the rediculous California, NewYork & NewJersey laws
will swiftly follow.

this is nothing less than total victory for Gun Owners.

and what Gun owners have been fighting since the formation
of the NRA in 1873.

Interestingly this ruling EXCEEDS what the Bush Administration
asked the court for.
Amusingly this ruling exceeds what the NRA asked for!

I've often felt the NRA too willing to compromise.
"Compromise" with a bully ammounts to giving up everything you
have one small piece at a time.

The compromises stop NOW & FOREVER!

I was watching live on FoxNews and waiting and doing a lot of holding
my breath between gulps of black coffee.

Done deal, THANK GOD!

Never again will I have to listen to some jackass whine about it's being
a right for the states to have a militia.

Now I can say "whip some lipstick on my dipstick beeotch"
with SCOTUS standing behind me.

they keep saying it's the first court case in 70years to rule on it being a right
when infact that case 70 years ago wasn't at all "on point".

in 220 years of constitution it has NEVER been diffinitively been ruled on.

I'd love to say it was worth the wait, but...

Anyone notice the "media bias" on this? I noticed how "fair and balanced" Fox news aired the Cities attorney how; "blah blah" This ruling only applied to "blah we need to do more to keep guns out of children hands, blah"

But! we did not hear from the other side, just some commentary by the show host about the supreme court desicion.

Kinda like how this media spun the Texas raid on a Latter Day Saint community.

The same way Ron Paul was ruined.

I have waited for this decision for a long time & FINALLY the USSC got it right. BUT, you can bet your a** this is not over by a long shot. Places like Chicago, NYC & police depts everywhere are going to try & put in place even stricter laws for the HONEST LAW ABIDING CITIZEN to buy & own guns of any kind. As if there isn't enough laws already. Other then Roe v Wade, this is the most historical decision the USSC has handed down since the Constitutionwas written into law. & you can bet the "whackos" are not going to just sit & cry about it. We are going to see more lawsuits take place then ever before because people like Mayor Daily & Bloomberg are going to do everything in their power whether it be legal or illegal to stop people from buying & owning guns. Roe v Wade is still being fought in the background after all these years & the RIGHT TO OWN & BEAR ARMS is going to do the same thing. I never thought I would see the USSC rule in favor of the citizens to do this & it makes me happy to finally see it happen.

The USSC & the Constitution NOW SAYS the government doesn't have the right to pry my guns from my hands. That's the only way they would have ever got mine anyway.

Fox News is NOT slanted to the right, they just SEEM that way because
the other media is so slanted to the LEFT.

Frankly I think Fox is a bit TOO "Fair and balanced" for my taste, I wouldn't be NEARLY as polite as they are to the obviously leftist bastards who keep calling them right.

"lets do this for the children" makes me start looking for a shovel

I agree that other media is slanted to the left, but Fox is absolutely slanted to the right. If they're not bashing the Clintons in some way then Sean Hannity is blaming liberals for every problem in America. It's well known that Fox News is a conservative media outlet. Even the most conservative of my acquaintances knows this.

I personally read The Economist and Foreign Affairs. BBC News is good too.
