Scotty's Rangerunner Build...

they go on each end of your sway bar, the u-shaped pins unhook and the cylindrical piece of metal in the middle is removed, they let your tires flex a little more when wheeling
Thanks!

Well, I finally got my sway bar discos installed. The first ones I bought didn't work so well. It's funny because the second set was the exact same part number but these are curved and about an inch longer. Very strange, very strange indeed. I figure they found out the others weren't working so well so the redesigned them. Anyway, here they are:

looks good. can you feel a difference in the ride?
With the bar disconnected, it handles the ruts better, I don't have enough travel for it to make a HUGE difference, but for my little light wheeling, it seems to keep the cab more level.

would it hurt to keep it disconnected all the time? sorry about all the ?s ive just never seen them before + thinkin about doin it myself!

I ran it like that for a couple of weeks. on the side roads it's no big deal. On the Interstate, if the lanes are a bit uneven it starts getting a bit mushy. It feels like the chassis is going one way and the body the other.

Hmm, I've honestly never noticed a difference on road with my truck, and it's got a suspension lift on it as well. I took an 8 hour road trip in my truck and I never had a single feeling of that. I guess it's all what you're used to... I've never had a fancy sports car like you Scotty. :icon_rofl:

Im pretty sure that i read somewhere that when you disconnect the front swaybar on the IFS rangers its alot worse than the ttb rangers

I snapped both my sway bar links at one time before and I drove it for about a month that way. Not fun. Feels like your all over the place. And hes right, feels like the chassis wants to go one way and the body the other.

i disco'd mine for awhile and it was fun when people rode in the truck and you would jerk the wheel back and forth.........it smelled like poo in the truck after that and almost got my oh shit handle ripped out hahaha, fun to mess with people, truck is looking good man

The ford oval is now black instead of blue, and I repainted the honeycomb gloss black again.
