School shooting in CT.

The ideal would be a manned booth buzzing people in and out. Set up a "man trap" foyer where outsiders could be admitted then have the door lock behind him.

They already did, he shot out a window and got in that way.

Well I will give my 2 cents. I think it is weird that just before a U.N. gun treaty gets signed the Colorado shooting happens, then America backs out of the treaty because of a lack of support, then we say give us another six months, and now look at all the shootings that have happened since. As for Obama feeling bad I am sure his drone strikes have killed a lot of children.

What irritates me is right after the Colo. shooting (which involved children both born and unborn) he said there was no need to change the gun laws. One of his minions latter added that he wouldn't change anything during an election year... redflag.

And then the very next shooting (after the election) the crap hits the fan, we gotta change everything yesterday.

Yeah I believe the next four years should be interesting.

im in hischool, personally i wouldnt want my teachers to have firearms (I AM VERY PRO GUN AND A CARD CARRYING MEMBER OF THE NRA!) mainly because i think their heads would get very swelled. personally i would give my life to protect others... but i prefer the idea of Panic Doors. Besides, this guy, his mom was a teacher, likely it wouldnt be too hard to find out which teachers are carrying, and go for them first... likely (Depending on school size) there wouldnt be more than a few armed teachers... i sill think that nothing about the shooter should be aired... let the memory of the bastard die with him and all the innocent people he killed, remember the fallen, remember the aggressor as no more than a bad guy... no names... we had a moment of silence today where the "Authorities" as i call them, principals and whatnot, rang 26 bells... just makes me angry... i still randomly get angry about 9/11 and i was only 4... the idea that an american would kill 25 other innocent americans for no reason steams me...
thats my 2 cents... or at least part of them... and to those that say get over it... how about you move on and just let those who really care do their thing... mind your own business if you dont like hearing about a tragedy... no disrespect just saying...

There's lots of great ideas in this thread....................

SO...WHY IN THE (you fill in the blank) CAN'T CONGRESS FIGURE IT OUT?!?

I'm kinda glad some of the teachers at my high school didn't wear guns back in the day...we had one teacher go over the edge and she ended up grabbing one student by the hair and spinning his head around in circles about three times before we realized what she was doing...if she had a gun that student would have been dead.

The idea today is to make the environment as safe as possible. It's hard enough to apply yourself to study, pay attention in class, and contribute to activities without having to worry about some nutbar blowing your head off because they have issues...

I've often felt that the education system is nothing more (other than actually learning something useful) than a huge government funded babysitting service to allow parents to either work to provide for their families or to have some down time just to get the little buggers out of the house for half a day.

What are they teaching now that cannot be acquired either on-line or in smaller more controlled environments? I think we need to evolve beyond the current structure to be able to deal with the future and avoid these tragedies forthwith and furthermore.

One thing I haven't seen on the media is that Westboro Baptest Church was planning a protest at the Newtown funerals, saying it's because they have taken God out of schools and deserved it. Huckleby (ex governor of Arkansa) who ran for president more or less said the same thing, they deserved it. Same church is planning to demonstrte at the funeral of two cops killed in Topeka but over 10,000 have signed a petion willing to join and block and attempt. Lots and lots of sick people out there.

I think we need more happenings like your avatar...LOL...

Twisted demented minds. Westboro..bunch of looneykazzonies. These people need to burn in their own personal hells. I'm sure what's in their closets would cause them to be in a state of shame for eternity. (those that protest just a bit to much....)

As for Huckleberry? How stupid can a politico get? You never EVER say anything about "They deserved it". BullShyteski! We're talking about the innocent ones. CHILDREN! "They deserved it?" My fat &%*. I can see the wackjobs from the church of perpetual hate spewing that bull...but a supposed respectful former gov?

I listened to Huckabee's original answer on the Fox news network about the school shootings and violence in America....

He never said that they "deserved it".

He DID state what every serious Christian knows.

and as for that Westboro church....they're a Classic example of "WOLVES IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING"

That's about 3/4ths of the problem. Then combine that with an attitude brought on by today's 'music' and the 'no limits' lifestyle and 99% of the problems are addressed.

I'm for arming teachers. Not all, but those that take the time to be trained.

There are NEVER any shootings where the criminal may face resistence. They all happen in 'gun free' zones.

When we kicked God out of the classroom it created a vacuum where Evil now haunts.

I guess iI did miss quote what he said but with all the BS others had said looking into this, Duh, got confused (it's Winter so I drink a lot to stay warm)he actually said more like this:

"We don't have a crime problem, a gun problem or even a violence problem. What we have is a sin problem," Huckabee said on Fox News. "And since we've ordered God out of our schools, and communities, the military and public conversations, you know we really shouldn't act so surprised ... when all hell breaks loose."

you dont remember the amish school incident in pa about 5 years ago?

****ed up people do ****ed up shit.

the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun unless the bad guy kills their cunt self first. odds are bad guy will do allot of damage(one innocent life is too many) before there can be any notice for counter action. but in this country there will be counter action most likely before nutjob runs out of ammo... its the only solice i have for that

this is ugly.....its horrific.

but it truly is the cost of freedom. it has always happened and always will.

but i think the issue is also systemic of our current educational system and its overt task of eliminating god...or at least natures god our endowing creator, from our society this past 100 years..... you know the thing bigger then us that CAN grant certain unalienable rights.

that is expensive to do....

at least it seems that way to me.

armed man = citizen good or bad

unarmed man = subject good or bad

Yep.....sometimes when christians try to make a point....they come across as being mean-spirited ( a few really are jerks...LOL) but I think he was being sincere........Westboro---on the other hand...... :icon_twisted:
