I have a 1994 Ford Explorer 4.0 V-6.
I need some help finding my problem related to Codes that come up KOEO.
I have not done the KOER tests yet.
The first code I get is 341=Octane Adjust service pin in use. I have been told that this is for information only.
The second code I get using an Actron CP9015 Code Scanner is 543= This is the description of the Actron Code=Fuel Pump (FP) circuit open connection - Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) to battery.
Again using the same scanner and the code 543 along with a 1999 Chilton Repair Manual for 1991-1999 Ranger/Explorer/Mountaineer.= The description is Fuel Pump secondary circuit failure, battery to PCM.
I am not sure which failure code is correct.
If anyone has had this failure code, or knows about this code, could you please provide information on how to resolve i.e. part replacement or other resolution. Please note, I have cleared the all the codes three or four times and the 543 continues to come up again. The car starts and runs good.
