Spring is here (finally) and it's been a while since I took pictures of something other than cars/truck. Comments, questions welcome.

I realized how much I want a DSLR after today. The white balance, even in manual mode, drives me nuts. I had some great ideas for a long time exposure with the water but even on 0.5sec exposure the white balance leaves the image completely white. Ohh well, one day.

Thanks for looking!

Nice pics...reminds me a lot of eastern South Dakota.

Is it windy up there?

I agree nice pics! I love the prairies. I doubt i could take as good of photos as you, I've lived in Sask my entire life and can't think of a better place to live. The only thing i can say about the weather is that it changes by the hour haha, i'm sure sniper_101 will agree. Very nice pictures.

Thanks, it's not as windy as you may think. The level terrain makes for steady air pressure and temperatures. About 1hr to the South (where we have a cattle ranch) it's about an 800ft elevation (it basically becomes Montana country 45mins South of where these pics are taken) and the weather can change from a sunny not-a-cloud-in-the-sky July day to a Tornado warning/cold spell within 5-10 mins. There is still plenty of random weather here, but not as extreme.

Thanks. Take some pics! I'm always eager to see places I haven't been/seen. I do agree, it's the crazy weather and different types of land combined into one province that makes it an amazing place to live and travel (except for the winter haha). I just hope the province can keep its head above water for these next few rough economic years.

New pics in a minute.

Thanks guys, few (actually a lot) more from the past few days:

Only used the .22's today. .223 & .270 rounds are far more expensive when I'm still "rusty" from winter. New rifle/scope pics next week!
